Records Management course completed

I’ve got my first course completed in my Applied Business Technology online program through Northwest Community College / BC Campus. Finished it last week with an overall grade of  97% “A+”.

It was a great course, learning more of the business principles in indexing/sorting correspondence/records as well as touching on electronic files.  Wish I had known this stuff when I worked at Bear Creek/Lakelse Air – I would have handled a few things differently, but then most of what I learned on that job “seat of the pants” as a duty appeared on my desk.

Next up, right after the new year is Business English followed by Business Math, Microsoft Outlook (need to learn the more advanced features), Human Relations and Administrative Procedures.  I picked up my textbooks last week and I’ve started looking through them. My final course Word Processing, again I need to learn some of the more advanced features, will have to wait as it’s booked solid next semester.
