North Coast BC Online
For the past couple of years I’ve had a project working in the background – a business directory & free classifieds system targeting residents of the north coast. The software I use is created by CityAmerica – a nice system, but now that my WordPress / Joomla talents have grown I find the options a bit lacking.
In the next few months it’s my plan to create a new website and expand on a project I’ve been working on “Best of the North Coast”. A website where residents/tourists can post reviews of regional businesses, events, authors, bands… just about anything based on the BC north coast. It will still serve as a great opportunity for regional small-businesses to promote their services.
I had originally planned on using the Ning.com network as the software for this site. But Ning started making policy changes in the Spring of 2010 that I couldn’t completely agree with. So I’ve been on the hunt for new software and I think I’ve discovered a WordPress design that will do what I want.
